I really enjoyed the tasting of this Lussac: the nose gradually reveals complex notes of cocoa and spices. It is a wine with an ample, full, well-balanced structure, on chocolate notes, with a nice fresh and deliciously spicy finish. Superb!more reviews

"Wood aged for 18 months, it is ripe, concentrated and brimming with aromas of blackcurrant and blueberry. A wine with potential." - Wine Enthusiast -
This Saint-Emilion Lussac has a beautifully clear garnet red colour. The nose brings black fruits - blackberry, blackcurrant and plum. The structure on the palate is full-bodied, well garnished with very fine, but clearly present, tannins. A wine with a good balance between tannic power, smoothness and a fresh finish. A superb vintage Saint-Émilion Lussac to keep in your cellar!

CHATEAU LA CLAYMORE

In the 11th and 12th centuries, the English were masters of Bordeaux. At that time, the Benedictine monks adorned the monolithic church of Saint-Emilion with sculptures influenced by Celtic culture. Celtic culture and Anglo-Saxon culture have thus marked our region. We can see it in the historic name of our estate: La Claymore. English-sounding, this name was formerly written in Celtic Claimh Mhor and referred to the great sword of the Highlanders of Scotland, warriors of Celtic origin who are believed to be present in Aquitaine with the English armies.
