CHATEAU MERIC 2016 - CRU BOURGEOIS

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Médoc AOC / 13 % vol

Highly concentrated and as ripe as you'd like, Château Méric offers the full expression of the three Médoc grape varieties.
This year was a superb vintage for Château Méric. The colour is bright with ruby highlights. The nose is elegant, complex and refined. The bouquet expresses intense notes of fruit and powerful, sappy cedar wood. The palate is smooth, balanced and round yet offers a good freshness. Cherry, crushed blackcurrant and raspberry notes blend with hints of toasted oak. The texture on the palate is refined, the structure is silky and very concentrated. Its tannins are soft but structured and the finish gives us good aromatic length.

CHÂTEAU MÉRIC

Château Méric is an estate whose vineyard is located the most northerly of the Médoc, located between ocean and river. Château Méric is located north of this peninsula "La Pointe de Grave", 90 km north of Bordeaux, on the edge of the Gironde estuary, 12 km from the Atlantic Ocean and 6 km from the banks. of the Gironde. Thanks to this northern location, Château Méric benefits to the maximum from the effects due to the masses of water that surround it (Ocean & River). For 20 years, the wines of Méric have been cultivated in sustainable cultivation, they have been certified Terra Vitis and HEV3 since 2017. It is in this continuity that the vineyard has been part of a conversion to organic since 2020, started in 2019 and controlled by Ecocert.
