LEAVE YOUR REVIEWSpectacular wine from Maipo Valley: red fruit bomb without being too spicy or oaky. Excellent with grilled meat but also on its own.
An impenetrable ruby red wine with a bouquet of plums and red fruits, warm on the palate, a truly quality wine I paired it with a grilled rump and the guests loved it. I would buy it again
Rating 6 1/2 discrete structure modest body too subtle bouquet not very persistent taste overall a good value for money wine but not repeatable
great wine! Good tannin, good persistence, very good acidity and structured! On the nose, ripe red fruits and leather. On the palate, typical mature cabernet. Very good.
Colour: deep ruby
Nose: pronounced intensity, ripe red/black fruit (redcurrant, plum, cherry), nutmeg, toasted wood, coffee, toast, bitter chocolate, evolving wine
Taste: dry, full-bodied, medium+ acidity, high tannins and alcohol content, pronounced flavours, medium+ finish
Wine with good intensity, flavour and nose of red and ripe plum, dark chocolate. Balanced, with good acidity and round tannins. The high alcohol content is a little noticeable.
Good quality/price ratio.
This Chilean wine was a wonderful discovery: well-balanced, not too powerful, silky on the palate. Tasted with a fillet of beef, with which it went very well.
Very pleasant wine.
Blackberry and plum, spicy and tobacco notes, given by an important but not excessive use of wood.
Juicy, fresh and full, recommended!
Overripe, sweet, too fake, very New World style but like Yellow Tail. I was expecting a pure Cabernet and the only thing in this wine is ripeness, sweetness and not noble wood.
Viña Santa Rita was founded in 1880 by Don Domingo Fernández Concha, businessman and public figure of the time. Don Domingo imported French grape varieties from the rich soils of the Maipo Valley, with specialized equipment and a team of French winemakers. This brought techniques hitherto unknown to Chile, changing the way wines were made in the country and bringing spectacular results. In 1980 the company became part of the Claro group, and the new property took a leap forward in quality, bringing numerous awards and accolades over the years.
