LEAVE YOUR REVIEWAs expected, on the sweet side. Good to pair with some spicier foods like BBQ ribs or Curry. Overall I think I drank it too early and should've waited a couple more years for it to mature.
An off-dry and very aromatic Riesling, which can be enjoyed as an aperitif, but also as an accompaniment to a meal. For me, it was the ideal companion for a flammekueche. An intense wine with aromas of peach, apricot, honey... Excellent!
The new vintage lives up to expectations, still with the exhilarating scent of verbena, citrus notes, lemon and that slight residual sugar that keeps us dipping into the glass.
Really great! Surprising and very seductive. A gem that is worth the diversions, and that will delight Riesling lovers. I recommend it without hesitation! Can also be left to wait in the cellar.
The Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier estate was born from the union of 3 renowned German estates unified in 1966: Bischöfliches Konvikt (created in 1840), Bischöfliches Priesterseminar (created in 1773) and Hohe Domkirche (created in 1851). This association has enabled the estate to shine all over the world thanks to the reputation of its known plots and sought after by all the great amateurs. The complexity of these terroirs lies in this harmony typical of the Mosel: sloping slopes, soils dominated by slate and an optimal climate for the maturity of Riesling. The estate preserves all the traditions of local viticulture-oenology, while applying the principles of sustainable and reasoned agriculture where the vines, the environment and the soils are respected. The Bischöfliche Weingüter Trier estate is an absolute reference in Mosel!
