DOMAINE CHARTON

Domaine Charton, in Burgundy, has been cultivating vines in Mercurey since 1941. Very attached to the notion of terroir, we produce wines with unique characters, which reflect the typicity of their “Climates”. The love of vines and wine is passed on from father to son in our family. Based in Mercurey, Vincent, the founder's grandson, is now at the head of the family estate, supported and advised by his father Jean-Pierre. They cultivate 11.50 hectares located on excellent terroirs of the Mercurey appellation, in the Côte Chalonnaise. The village is well known for its unique soil composition and for its wines with pronounced fruit notes. Mercurey has 32 plots classified as Premiers Crus.
