CHABLIS 1ER CRU BUTTEAUX VIEILLES VIGNES 2019 - LOUIS MICHEL ET FILS

0,75 L White Wine / France / Burgundy / Chablis Premier Cru AOC / 13,5 % vol

Succumb to this superb concentrated cuvée, whose long sapid finish will seduce you!
Exceptionally located in the heart of Butteaux, this plot of more than 60 years, whose yields are gradually decreasing, amply deserves a separate vinification and an ageing worthy of a Grand Cru. This 2019 opens with notes of acacia flower and liquorice. On the palate, iodized maritime aromas precede a warm finish, of peach jam and tarte tatin just out of the oven... A treat!

DOMAINE LOUIS MICHEL ET FILS

Always owned by the family since the 19th century, "Louis Michel & Fils" is now managed by Guillaume Michel, who takes care to perpetuate the spirit of the estate. The passion for excellence as well as the art of discreet know-how are passed down from generation to generation, to get only the best of their exceptional vineyard. This family vineyard, with an average age of 45 years, is located on the most prestigious plots around the cellars of the estate. Reasoned agriculture is in the spotlight among the Michel, with great attention paid to the maturity of the grapes, for optimal harvests. One of the most striking features of this estate is that it abandoned wood and barrels forty years ago to use only vats in order to obtain clean, pure and precise wines. By maturing all its chablis in vats, from simple "village" to grand cru, the Louis Michel estate remains in the Chablis tradition where the taste of wood has no place.
