A great Gaillac, 100% Mauzac, it's rare and it's excellent. We are not disappointed to this nectar! Golden yellow colour in the glass, with a delicious complex taste of honeyed apple and anise that stays on the palate for a long time. Superb!more reviews

Rich, full-bodied and classy, this Gaillac is pure Mauzac and will knock your socks off!
V from Vigne Lourac is made from a parcel selection of pure Mauzac Blanc. This local grape variety lends richness to the wine, with little acidity and marked by aromas of ripe apple, pear, quince and violets. Barrel-aged on the lees for six months brings vanilla notes. A superb Gaillac to have as an aperitif, with some scallops or even fish in sauce!

With an intense golden colour, the nose releases flavours of dried fruits and honey. In the mouth we find flavors of quince. It is elegant, rich, woody and vanilla notes are added to this bouquet which extends superbly on the palate. A delight!

An astonishing, rare grape that I did not know. It is a floral, powerful wine with a bitterness that dissipates quickly. To discover for pleasure as an aperitif or with a shrimp curry!

VIGNE LOURAC

In 1906, Jean Antoine Vigné-Lourac, the last descendant without a direct successor from a family of winegrowers over 300 years old, ceded the vineyard to his nephew: Alain Gayrel's grandfather. Young, rather rebellious, resistant to the established order but seized with an irresistible desire to travel and discover the world, Alain Gayrel abandoned his studies at 19 to expedite his military obligations. The serious illness which struck his father during what he called "a waste of time in uniform", forced him to give up his immediate plans to globetrotter and to return, temporarily, he thought, to the family vineyard. From then on, his life plan changed radically: taken with passion by this profession that he had never considered doing, he immediately dedicated himself to the development of this small 9-hectare vineyard to make it the business that she has become today. He will devote his whole life to its expansion by imagining original wines rooted in this terroir, on which he will affix his signature. The Gayrel vineyards team perpetuates the professional heritage left by Alain Gayrel, by developing, using his method which combines tradition and the latest techniques, authentic, modern and original wines.
