A LISA 2019 - BODEGA NOEMIA

0,75 L Red Wine / Argentina / Patagonia / Rio Negro / 14 % vol

A Malbec in a soft style, fruity and with a low alcohol content thanks to the cool climate of Patagonia. Very enjoyable!
A wonderful Malbec from the Rio Negro Valley in Patagonia. The climate of the area is much cooler than average giving the Malbec a less solar style and a lower alcohol content with freshness and fruit. A Lisa (name of the grandmother of the winemaker) is a wine on red and black fruit balanced on a cool finish. This is the first vintage bottled in a Burgundy size to celebrate the elegant identity and sweetness of the wine.

BODEGA NOEMIA DE PATAGONIA

Located about 1000 km south of Buenos Aires and 500 km west of the Atlantic coast, in the Rio Negro region, Bodega Noemia is the culmination of the takeover of an estate dating from the 1930s, by famous Italian wine producer Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano and Danish winemaker Hans Vinding-Diers. Originally mainly planted in Malbec, they then made the choice to include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Their first vintage was made in 2001 by purchasing the estate's grapes, then almost abandoned. They vinified it in an old shed belonging to a fruit packaging company. The destemming was done by hand, and the pressing with their feet, in fiberglass tubs. Noemi and Hans acquired the estate in 2004. They have continued to bring it to life with the same passion as when they started out. The wines are made in a traditional way, with particular emphasis on details. The winegrowers work with respect for nature, in order to guarantee the authenticity of this heritage. The harvest is done by hand. The grapes are then carefully sorted in order to keep only the best berries. Fermentation takes place spontaneously using indigenous yeasts. All the operations are carried out by gravity in order to limit the micro-oxygenation of the wine, and therefore to maintain optimal wine quality. The wines are aged in French oak barrels and can be supplemented by a passage in concrete tanks.
