Deliciously complex, the aromas are powerful (honey, candied fruit, bitter orange jam) in a dense and rich palate, closed with a spicy hint of white pepper. This Sauternes offers us a high-flying sensory journey!more reviews

"This Château de Fargues vintage is a fantastic wine for that year. The palate is extremely well-balanced with a fine acidity." - Robert Parker -
After a complicated harvest - hail on 21 July destroyed 60% of the harvest - this vintage delivers a surprising wine with promising complexity. This Sauternes offers a lovely full-body, with a liveliness delivered both by the acidity of the terroir and the character of the vintage. Powerful but incredibly elegant, it reveals such a rich unctuousness, it's almost syrupy. It gives us complex, delicious aromas of citrus, exotic fruits and juniper, along with toast and hints of spice. The Fargues signature style is perhaps in the ageing of this delicious bitter orange flavour that it brings to us. A great wine designed for ageing!
