LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA marvellous wine. I love to see how these wines improve over the years and not only harmonise with dessert. A good grilled foie or some cheeses, and you can enjoy this wine which, with its "old age", is splendid and its price is very good.
This excellent Sauternes has a typical candied fruit palate without sweetness and with a perfect firmness. The half bottle format is very interesting.
Superb Sauternes in its perfect maturity, saffron flavoured to perfection, encaustic and frangipane assert themselves in a rich palate with a beautiful liquor without heaviness.
Sauternes is the 'dessert' designation, understood in the French manner, i.e. to be paired above all with cheeses. Hinted sweetness, never cloying, aromas of dried tropical fruit, excellent
A beautiful evolved nose with oriental notes of saffron, hints of honey, candied fruit, macerated flowers. Enveloping in the mouth like velvet. With blue cheeses all life long. Absolutely worth the price paid.
Sauternes, honey, candied fruit, apricots, figs, richness, acidity, normal evolution, surely perfect with cheese or nuts, well, that's just a guess.
Great expectations for this bottle from a prestigious producer, great classic nose with jammy apricots, saffron and a touch of caramel, placid and relaxed on the palate, but it lacks the acidity of the great ones to lengthen the sip and fully satisfy expectations...
Saffron dominates, but is exalted with blue cheese.
Powerful, soft, fresh: an incredible seductiveness! Notes of dried fruit and spices. Long in the finish. Perfect now but also in the future! A young man!
