LEAVE YOUR REVIEWSimply delicious. The word that came to us spontaneously was velvet. We enjoyed it before the meal but also afterwards with a good meat.
Balanced and silky, this 2016 vintage is remarkable. Subtle aromas emerge from this wine, which went perfectly with my platter of charcuterie and Auvergne cheeses.
Second wine of Chateau Figeac which is affordable in price and just as well made. We had a great time, with a nice little meat, I must try the Château Figeac one day.
Great Wine! Precise, always balanced between tannins and scents. Secondary and tertiary notes finely linked. With maturity it will be even more enveloping!
The great wine from Figeac, Premier Grand Cru Classé since 1954, stands out for its elegance, freshness and balance. Pleasing when young, Figeac reveals its complexity over time, offering a rich palate of sensations and always arouses great emotions. Château de Figeac has a completely different grape variety due to a privileged gravel terroir: 70% Cabernet (half Cabernet Franc, half Cabernet Sauvignon) and only 30% Merlot. This unusual aspect makes Figeac "the most Médoc of the Saint Emilion domaines".
