LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA beautiful Provencal wine with a very ripe profile. Intense nose (strawberry, cherry, blueberry, prune, liquorice, aromatic freshness). Fresh on the palate, full of ripe fruit and young tannins which forge the character of this very convincing wine.
It was in 1996 that Guillaume Tari fell in love with the Bandol region and acquired the Domaine de la Bégude. This estate is steeped in history and bears its name well, since beguda is the place where one drinks in Provençal dialect. Guillaume and his wife Soledad have been producing organically certified wine and olive oil since 2006. 23 hectares of vines scattered within 500 hectares of garrigue, like an aerial balcony over the Mediterranean. One of the particularities of the vineyard lies in its location at altitude: On the highest point of the Bandol appellation, at 410 metres, the vines preserve a freshness with significant temperature variations between day and night. In this country where Mourvèdre is king, this grape variety knows how to express the particularities of its terroir: rocky soil, plenty of sunshine, altitude, iodine mistral. The estate produces rosé wines for gastronomy, but also red wines of Provence, which are rarer. Great wines made for ageing.
