Deep red colour. A sumptuous palate with peppery and liquorice notes. Incredible finish with well-melted tannins. To be enjoyed with a duck breast.more reviews

"The smoky, spicy oak defines the nose, but on the full-bodied palate, the concentration and intensity of the Malbec comes through loud and clear." Robert Parker
Dame Honneur is a selection of the best parcels belonging to Château Lagrezette. It's produced from the oldest vines on the estate, planted on the upper terraces of the Lot and on the Causse plateau. The wine is aged for 22 to 24 months in new oak barrels, before being blended by the wine maker, Michel Rolland, then bottled at the château. It displays a nose of long-lasting black cherry, plum, liquorice, vanilla and cinnamon aromas. On the palate it is velvety and has a full body with tannins found at the finish. A great vintage that can improve with age for over 20 years.

Lovely full of tannins and pleasant fruity aftertaste. An excellent wine to accompany red meat and cheeses, preferably mature and not too flavoured.

CHATEAU LAGREZETTE

Château Lagrézette is a true reference in the South-West. Owner Alain Dominique Perrin, passionate about beauty and exceptional products, bought the property in the 1980s. The estate covers 90 hectares of vines, of which Malbec, the emblematic Cahors grape, represents the majority. The vineyard is made up of three distinct terroirs which gives a great diversity of cuvées. Since 1988 the estate has been consulted by the famous oenologist Michel Rolland. The estate produces powerful, generous, elegant and refined wines, the quality of which is unanimously recognized in France but also abroad.
