CHATEAU HAUT-BAILLY 2018

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Bordeaux / Pessac-Léognan AOC / 14,5 % vol

"An unbelievably powerful and opulent wine, yet it has a sensational purity along with its freshness and elegance that characterise this wonderful estate." J. Dunnuck
A remarkable vintage - sunny, opulent and expressive. A year of extremes for Château Haut-Bailly. With a very small production volume of just 21 hectolitres, but of an exceptional quality. Château Haut-Bailly is renowned for its elegant wines and its aptitude for ageing. This particular terroir lends a distinctive style and exceptional elegance. Finesse, depth and concentration are displayed by this superb Pessac-Léognan that's equally powerful and marvellously soft and smooth. A truly safe bet from this appellation!

CHÂTEAU HAUT-BAILLY

Located at the gates of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation and on the land of the prestigious Crus Classés de Graves, Château Haut-Bailly has dominated, for more than four centuries, a 30 hectare vineyard in one single piece established on a basement of fossil stones and a soil of sand mixed with serious slides of the tertiary. The reputation of the cru, established during the 19th century, places it among the very best Bordeaux wines. Robert G. Wilmers, owner since 1998, continues with at the head of the vineyard Véronique Sanders, granddaughter of the owner of Château Haut-Bailly, a very demanding quality policy, with respect for the environment and thanks to methods combining modernity and tradition.
