LEAVE YOUR REVIEWA whiff of Brett and a bit hot on the first nose. It gets quite interesting and fruity when it opens up, much like Pinot Noir, it's famous neighbour. In the mouth it's reasonably fresh and youthful, there appears to be some structure, the only fly in the ointment being the short, watery finish.
I opened this bottle last week with my friend. It is very fruity and easy to drink. But a little bit pity that we drank so fast. It will be good to drink after decanting to taste full aroma and flavours.
Château des Jacques, probably one of the finest properties in Beaujolais, was purchased by Maison Jadot in 1996. Since then, this estate has experienced steady growth and produces wines unanimously acclaimed by the press. Based on the principle that a great wine is a living wine that draws its essence from the energy of the soil, the plant cycle, the work and love of man, the Château des Jacques produces some of the greatest Beaujolais ever.
