LEAVE YOUR REVIEWVery good magnum to keep for at least two years for more finesse. Very good for discovering the flavors of a Spanish DO, with a very interesting value for money. On the palate, a promising balance, to drink with spicy cuisine but not too strong, it will be perfect!
This is an excellent wine to enjoy with friends. Ideal on a BBQ and even better in magnum. Fruit, sun, a wine that stands out without too much power. I can only recommend at this price!
Gregory Pérez, the owner of Bodegas y Viñedos Mengoba is a true enthusiast who began his career in 1998 at Château Cos d'Estounel. The plots of this estate extend over the terroirs of Espanillo, Valtuille, Villafranca Du Bierzo and Carracedo, in the heart of Bierzo, in Galicia. The soils are slate, limestone and rocky, and benefit from a mountainous climate with Atlantic influences. Soil work is done in an ancestral and purely artisanal way, using two cows (Guinda and Jardinera), and phytosanitary treatments are naturally reduced thanks to climatic conditions (altitude, ventilated areas, draining land, etc.). The wines of the Bodegas y Viñedos Mengoba estate are sure values of Bierzo wines. Today wine lovers from all over the world are appreciating Grégory wines!
