SINE QUA NON

Sine Qua Non was created by the Austrian Manfred Krankl and his wife Elaine. Arrived in 1980 in the United States and after a few years in the restaurant business, they decide to produce wine and settle in the Ventura region. After several vintages, it was in 1994 that Robert Parker gave them a score of 95/100 for their cuvée dominated by Syrah "Queen of Spades". This cuvée is nowhere to be found and sells for several thousand euros. A tradition at Sine Qua Non is that each wine has a name, label and often a specific style of bottle. Each label is handcrafted by Manfred, often with linocuts of his own creation.
