In the heart of Costières de Nîmes, in the extreme south of the Rhône Valley, Château Vessière covers 65 hectares of vines. Located at the gates of the Camargue, the estate benefits from an exceptional terroir and climate. This beautiful property belonged to Mademoiselle Lucie de Vessière, who became Teulon's wife. The estate has since been passed down from generation to generation. It was in 1975 that Philippe Teulon took over the reins after studying oenology at the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier. The first bottling will take place in 1978 but the cuvée will only be consumed privately. It was in 1979 that the wine was marketed in France and abroad. Over time, Philippe passed on his passion to one of his sons, Vincent. In turn, he will study oenology in Montpellier and explore the practices in force in the Napa Valley, California. Since 2007, Vincent and his wife Lucie have continued the history of the family. Together, they have developed working techniques, in particular by converting the estate to organic and by taking charge of the commercial development of the company. Currently, the couple live there with their two children in order to reconcile family life and demanding work. Philippe is still present daily on the estate and works in close collaboration with Vincent. They work together to develop fine and elegant organic wines, for which they receive numerous awards each year.
