A very elegant Californian red wine, less oaky than average. We can clearly feel the red fruits, black fruits and a hint of vanilla. I still find it a bit expensive.more reviews

A magnificent Californian discovery, a Pinot Noir from Russian River bursting with finesse.
Another great Californian discovery. The Pinot Noir has a beautiful colour. The palate is silky and persistent with an explosion of flavours (almond, vanilla, strawberry, brown sugar). The wine is aged for 9 months in Burgundy barrels. This wine has something that will make our Burgundian wines tremble. A bottle not to be missed! We alone offer this Sommelier wine in France for the pleasure of our customers.

HOOK & LADDER WINERY

Hook & Ladder is a family estate founded in 1970. Cecil de Loach (firefighter in San Francisco) and his wife Christine bought the Barbieri Ranch in the coveted Russian River region. During these early years, Cecil continued his work as a firefighter while two into their new roles as winegrowers. They took classes at Santa Rosa Junior College and UC Davis, read everything they could find about grape growing and winemaking, and took advantage of the generous guidance offered by neighboring winemakers and winemakers, many of whom. took care of the "old vines" of the region for decades. This estate specializes in small bottling of Pinot Noir, "Old Vine" Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-type blends from sustainably operated family vineyards in the Russian River Valley and its sub-appellation, Chalk Hill. The winery also produces and sells olive oil from the trees at Los Amigos Ranch.
