Juicy and round on the palate, it exudes flavours of blackcurrant, violet, with hints of garrigue. On the palate we find a beautiful palette, with anise, liquorice and peppery notes. A gourmet treat! It is more to its advantage on tapas than on red meat.more reviews

"A concentrated wine with a beautiful texture that offers freshness and purity" Jeb Dunnuck
As they say, Jeb Dunnuck (one of the greatest specialist critics of the Rhône Valley), "this Maximilien wine is another superb wine by the Grands Bois Domaine". Given the delicacy and flexibility on the palate of this explosion of fruit, there is no chance of contradiction... This vintage is very energetic and vibrant, it will delight your taste buds... And you will particularly want more! A Cairanne of great class, which can only improve with a few years in the cellar, to be discovered now!

18/20 Because it surprised me, in one word: succulent, and in three words: fruity, accuracy, length! We loved it during a romantic candlelight evening, to be served in beautiful glasses because it deserves it, I will gladly take again some cases...

DOMAINES LES GRANDS BOIS

It was in Sainte-Cécile, in 1920, that the estate was created by Albert Farjon. Agricultural worker, but above all passionate about vines and wine, he created, thanks to his work and his will, a wine estate which has today acquired its letters of nobility. André and Robert (his two sons) took over the reins thus perpetuating the family tradition and ensuring the longevity of the estate. The vines of the Les Grands Bois estate extend over 46 hectares spread over 7 municipalities: Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes, Lagarde-Paréol, Suze la Rousse, Tulette, Cairanne, Rasteau, and Travaillan. The vines are planted on plots located mostly on plateaus 130 meters above sea level.
