LEAVE YOUR REVIEWVery good value for money, it is well balanced between the flavors of spices and the tannins (present just enough). Slightly sweet and warm, it is very pleasant.
It was a nice surprise to have this pleasant taste compared to this price! Either for an aperitif or for a meat meal... For Syrah lovers, this wine will not betray!
Very balanced wine that is pleasant to drink. On the palate, we can note very present aromas of blackcurrant, red fruits generally typical of wines from the south. Very satisfactory price/quality ratio.
The Cellier des Princes takes its name from the prestigious history of the Princes of Orange. One of them, William I, known as "le Taciturne", because of his silent character, illustrates the character of the Cellier des Princes' winegrowers. Men for whom action counts more than words, winegrowers who have written the history of the Cellier des Princes. In 1925, a group of winegrowers convinced by the values of solidarity and mutual aid joined forces. Eleven years later, these visionary winegrowers participated in the construction of the first appellation in France: Châteauneuf-du-Pape. In the 1960s, the second generation of Cellier des Princes winegrowers anticipated the leisure society and the development of wine tourism by setting up the Cellier des Princes tasting cellar on the edge of the RN7. As a loyal partner of the finest Rhone and Burgundy wine merchants who have historically sold Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Cellier des Princes has been selling them Châteauneuf-du-Pape from its vineyard for decades. The exceptional quality of the terroirs of the Cellier des Princes gives the wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, but also of Côtes-du-Rhône , rare qualities which are appreciated at amounts well above the market price. The Cellier des Princes winegrowers, united as they were in the beginning, are proud to have their wines appreciated on the five continents and to be able to transmit their values of conviviality and excellence.
