This 1.5 hectare plot selection comes from old vines (over 80 years old) planted on slopes composed of shale slate (Llicorella). It is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (225 and 600 L). Only 1340 bottles of this wine are produced. Once the juices have been pressed very slowly, fermentation is naturally triggered using indigenous yeasts, and the carbon dioxide protects the juice from any form of oxidation and avoids adding sulphur. The same goes for clarifying the wine, without sticking or filtration. This wine without added sulphites is the epitome of what is done in Priorat. The nose is marked by an elegant restraint, mixing small ripe black fruit with noble mineral notes. A deep and structured palate is caressed by tannins of great subtlety. A true journey through the Priorat area that deserves some patience to reveal all its complexity! A sublime wine that can be aged for at least 2 decades.
