VANNADES BLANC 2020 - CHATEAU SAINT JEAN LEZ DURANCE

0,75 L White Wine / France / Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur / Pierrevert AOC / 13 % vol

AB (organic wine) EU organic farming
A superb white wine full of the finesse of the AOC Pierrevert near Manosque!
The place called Les Vannades is a set of plots on gently sloping terraces. This terroir emerged from the turbulent waters of the Durance river thanks to the grandfather of the managers of the Domaine, Henri d’Herbès, who built dykes to grow the vines. It is a well-drained soil, composed of fine silt covering a deep gravel pit, which makes for flexible and aromatic wines. This wine has a beautiful light colour with iridescent green reflections and an airy and delicate bouquet with fruit (tangerine), vegetation (boxwood) and flowers (jasmine), and an amazing balance on the palate between intense fruit, sweet roundness and fine freshness. A tasty and elegant wine.

CHÂTEAU SAINT JEAN LEZ DURANCE

The Saint-Jean vineyard was created by Jean Guillaume d'Herbès' grandfather, Henri d´Herbès in 1880 on the stony terraces nestled between the Luberon and the Durance. In this marvelous setting, cherished by writers and poets, flourish the 24 hectares of vines of the Château. In the oldest estate in the region, Jean Guillaume d'Herbès and his family write their cuvées, day after day with passion. Their wines are distinguished by their freshness and generosity, fruit of the unique terroir of Haute-Provence. They are the alliance of the know-how of their fathers and the latest innovations at the service of a single goal: your pleasure.
