My favourite in Saint-Émilion, never disappointed. Always excellent value for money for a rather woody wine (no surprise) which can be drunk in its early years, but sufficiently complex for the cellar.more reviews

The team at Jean Louis Trocard has outdone itself with this vintage - it's a veritable treat!
Château Franc La Rose is situated on a clay and limestone plateau in the commune of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes. This wine has a deep red colour. The rich nose is grounded in ripe red fruit notes, as well as a delicate oakiness over peppery and vanilla notes. Its characteristic complexity juggles freshness, roundness and exquisite pleasure. The palate remains unctuous and creamy, with a lovely touch of velvet. The mid-palate quickly acquires breadth and delicacy. Fine balance. Excellent length and persistence of aromas on the fruit... A treat!

Much too young, it will become excellent, but it's hard to wait, the wine is already excellent even if the ageing is still not bad. The tannins are already melted, a lot of black fruits, vanilla, it is very good in this style.

Quite simply one of my favorite Saint-Emilion. To put in the cellar, it is however already very pleasant to taste, but it will certainly be fantastic in a few years!

20/20 because you can have complete confidence in this Châteaux. It is one of the rare wines which are always fair and consistent from one year to the next. I discovered this wine in 2020 with a bottle of 2016, excellent, and recently this bottle of 2018 which is just as excellent!

Very promising! Still young but in a very good vintage, it will give its maximum within 5 years. Woody, fruity, powerful with not yet refined tannins.
