Nutty and buttery, a vague oak, lively citrus, minerality, and apple notes. Wide spectred and greatly balanced freshness and solidity. Interesting burgundy wine.more reviews

This is Chardonnay in fuller bloom than ever! Attention: this bottle is a real treasure... You'll make people green with envy!
With its formidable aromatic richness, this Viré-Clessé freshly mingles aromas of white flowers (hawthorn, acacia, honeysuckle), lemongrass, white peach, quince and verbena. Broad, ripe fruit and a nice savoury whiff to give it depth. But again, the acidity is extremely marked and doesn't seem (yet?) married to the rather slight fruit. Slightly sour finish with some chew.
