CIGALUS 2019 - GERARD BERTRAND

0,75 L Red Wine / France / Languedoc-Roussillon / Aude Hauterive IGP / 15,5 % vol

Demeter (biodynamic label) EU organic farming
The great favourite of our experts at the tasting, this unusual terroir wine reveals wonderful complexity between its fruity and spicy aromas. A gamble that's paid off for Gérard Bertrand!
One of the former rugby player's riskiest acquisitions: an estate in a difficult terroir with unusual grape varieties. But the gamble paid off! An estate operated wholly biodynamically, making complex, fruity wines. Cigalus red is a subtle union of fruit and spice, with silky yet evident tannins and lovely length. The Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with their southern accents very quickly won us over and will seduce you just as easily, that's for sure!
