LÓPEZ DE HEREDIA

A flagship reference in Rioja for over a century, Viña Tondonia is an unconditional purveyor of great wines. With an elite reputation and uncompromising style, Maria José López de Heredia has elevated her estate to the pinnacle of international viticulture. His expertise and perfectionism have enabled him to create terroir wines capable of competing with the greatest French wines. The Bodega (the estate) favors long ageing and the barrels are made on site. Still installed in its historic cellars, the estate is one of the only bodegas in Rioja to remain a family business, fully controlling the production cycle of its wines, from grape to bottling without external supplies. The greatest wine experts consider the estate's mosaic of terroir to be one of the most complex and rare in the world.
