LEAVE YOUR REVIEWPale crimson. Dense nose, denser than some Pernands but perhaps that's the vintage. Quite big, beefy and sweet on the palate. Sweet finish. Not the most appetising Pernand to have come my way.
Since 1620 the Mongeard-Mugneret estate has been established in Vosne-Romanée. This 8-generation family owns an estate of around 30 hectares of vines and 35 appellations. The estate has several parcels within prestigious Grands Crus and also highly sought-after Premiers Crus. Today, Vincent Mongeard, a great wine enthusiast, runs the estate. He practices vinification with the greatest care, including moderate and rational sulphiting. The wine is lowered into the cellar by gravity and placed in new barrels in a proportion which varies according to the vintage and the appellation. Bottling takes place without filtering but sometimes with prior fining. The wines offered are quality wines, distinguished and delicate, with a deep knowledge of its terroirs and ancestral know-how.
