Pingus is the nickname given to Peter Sisseck, oenologist and founder of the winery, which he created in 1995. By chance his path crossed with that of Robert Parker in Bordeaux; Robert Parker tried his wines and fell completely under their spell. In love with the terroir of the Castille region, he uses vines over 80 years old to take the region's top variety, Tempranillo, to another level. Pingus, one of the most sought-after wines in the world, is born of an extremely rigorous selection of individual grapes, followed by an entirely natural fermentation process (optimally conserving the aromas and flavours). Maturation in barrels from the Darnajou cooperage (Bordeaux), recognised as the best barrels in the world, lends this wine aromas of incredible complexity (black raspberry, roast meat, smoky oak, chocolate). Pingus, a MONUMENTAL wine!!!

DOMINIO DE PINGUS

The estate located about thirty kilometers from Roa in the province of Burgos was created in 1995. It has 5 hectares of old Tempranillo vines cultivated according to the principles of biodynamics. Dominio de Pingus is one of the most famous and popular wines in Spain and even in the world. Made of Tempranillo from Ribera del Duero, the wine is produced by the famous Danish oenologist, Peter Sisseck, who studied in Bordeaux as well as in California and finally in Spain. The estate produces two other wines that are a little more accessible in addition to its eponymous cuvée, the Flor de Pingus, and the PSI. This estate, located not far from Vega Sicilia, has become cult in less than 15 years.
