LEAVE YOUR REVIEWWonderful wine. Rich and fruity, but very smooth to drink, so very happily drunk with strong flavoured foods as well as on its own. Will certainly buy this again.
If you like high altitude wines, this ones for you: cool and light, cherry and cherry jam, a hint of pepper, floral notes, mushrooms and just an itch of earthy tannins.
Discovery of Chile through this Syrah well rated by Parker, soft and very long in the mouth, a real treat.
The last of the Tara trilogy from the Ventisquero estate… and another trip to Latin America! Suave and unfiltered, it is interesting for a Syrah more in the roundness than the power.
Tara is the result of this challenge that the winemakers and producers of Ventisquero have set for themselves. Three wines, two blended red wines - one made from Syrah and the other from Pinot Noir - and a white wine made from Chardonnay. Tara's limited production comes from a single vineyard located just 22 kilometers from the Pacific Ocean, on the second terrace of the Huasco River. However, Tara is more than a simple adventure on an extreme land. Capturing and infusing its origin in every glass means opting for artisanal winemaking methods at every step of the harvesting, winemaking and even bottling process. This is why their philosophy has always been to intervene as little as possible. All the grapes are harvested by hand and some bunches are crushed at the foot in whole bunches, to create wines which are the expression of their extreme origin.
