91 for now for this excellent St. Veran, from a 'rising star' winemaker. The domain's USP is long barrel aging, in reductive style, with little new oak. I'm sure this will hit 93+. This wine sees a mammoth 35 months in barrel, adding length, texture and breadth on the palate. Broad, concentrated.more reviews

'The palate is beautifully balanced and very pure.... A delightful, quite linear finish. There is a surfeit of potential locked up in this Saint Veran' Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate.
A cuvée that pushes the limits of restricted production, with this Saint-Véran plot, Les Pommards, comprising barely half a hectare. A great deal of freshness and a highly floral and above all very mineral aspect on the nose. On the palate one finds an incomparable roundness, a dash of acidity and white-fleshed fruits that don't cease to delight us! The whole is remarkably balanced and offers a long, mellow finish... A most complete nectar!!

ROBERT DENOGENT

Comfortably nestled in the communes of Fuissé and Solutré-Pouilly, the parcels of the Robert-Denogent estate draw their sap from clay-limestone, even clay-schist soil. Most of the vines range between 50 and 70 years old, some of them being almost 100 years old. Domaine Robert-Denogent produces its white wines from the following appellations: Mâcon -Villages, Mâcon-Solutré, Mâcon-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé and Beaujolais-Villages. The production process is entirely carried out by the estate, from working the vines to bottling, in search of personal and authentic wines, as close as possible to the terroir, the climate and the vintage. Domaine Robert-Denogent is traditional, simple, artisanal and little interventionist.
