I knew about Gruner Veltiners as an aperitif. I didn't know that it also went very well with meals. This one is delicately fruity, with not too much acidity. Perfect accompaniment to chicken casserole with a white tarragon sauce. Recommended.more reviews

A sensory journey on the sloping hillsides of the Danube, a delicious and salivating single-plot wine!
Here is a Gruner Veltilibner from a single vineyard. A very fine and fresh wine with a material where the grape is expressed with all its crispness and acidity accompanied by a nice complexity. The aromas are similar to the Alsace wines with citrus and a touch of exoticism. The balance of the wine is wonderful, it is a captivating wine, perfectly interpreted.

Difficult to find good quality Gruner Veltiners. This one is excellent with good vibrancy and acidity. Good value for money - don't miss out.

Hit the nail on the head with oysters at Christmas! Really good freshness, strong notes of pear and citrus, all with a disconcerting minerality. A lovely variety that's a relative of the Riesling grape. One to try.

First encounter with the famous Gruner Veltliner and I'm not disappointed! The wine is lively, mineral and offers lemon and iodine notes. Ideal with a seafood platter!

A very drinkable German white wine, fresh with a touch of bitterness, citrus notes and relatively lively! Very enjoyable as an aperitif - I recommend it.

Medium yellow color, apple and citrus smell with a little bit of flower. Flavor of juicy apple and pear. You can also taste the minerality. Medium body, it is good with fish, but also nice just without food.

Entry-level, but not banal Gruner Veltliner from one of the most important producers in the region, with the characteristic racy, electric acidity and salty finish. Apples, pears and white flowers on the nose and a citrusy finish.

One of the very best Austrian domaines, this wine is a little gem of freshness. Very fruity and vibrant, it's a very good white for an unusual aperitif. One to try!

We really enjoyed this wine with stew. This wine is very pleasant and balanced. We will be ordering more for everyday drinking. A really lovely Riesling.

DOMÄNE WACHAU

Domäne Wachau has been elected in 2020 the 3rd best wine estate in the world! It is based in Dürnstein, one of the most prestigious wine villages on the banks of the Danube in Austria, 75 km from Vienna. There are perfectly tended terraced vineyards on the banks of the river, a symbiosis with nature focused on sustainability and environmental protection as well as the preservation of ancestral traditions: this is the origin of the success of Domäne Wachau. Today the estate shines all over the world and elsewhere, the American critic Robert Parker (Wine Advocate) declares: “With their latest vintages, Roman Horvath and Heinz Frischengruber have restored its letters of nobility and its excellent habits to the valley of Wachau”. Domäne Wachau is a reference to be tasted urgently!
