Here is a wine which does not "freak out". It is full of sweetness and simplicity, it especially plays with freshness and lightness and does not seek to lead into a more complex tasting. A genre that suits it very well. It is very pleasant.

Pretty colour, very present notes of red fruits, a lot of roundness. We tasted it as an aperitif, then as an accompaniment to good meat. It must be able to improve by keeping it for 2 or 3 years in the cellar. Very nice discovery and excellent value for money.

Very smooth and easy to drink Burgundy with red fruit notes, such as red currant, strawberry and plum with some leather in the background. Not terribly complex, enjoyable to drink on its own and went perfectly with some pizza.

Interesting, some character, light as you expect from a Gamay, not much structure, but some grip. I liked it, but for £10+ I am struggling to re-order, so not quite enough to it. But if you like the Beaujolais styled wine you may really like this.

MAISON CHANDESAIS

Maison Chandesais a wine estate, but also a family business founded in 1933 by Émile Chandesais, and located in the Burgundy region, in the town of Fontaine, in the heart of the famous Côte Chalonnaise. It has prospered over the years by ensuring the vinification, ageing and marketing of its Burgundy wines, which promises the quality of their wines and respect for the traditions of the estate. Then, in 1993, Émile Chandesais sold his company to the “Compagnie Vinicole de Bourgogne, a subsidiary of the Picard Vins et Spiritueux group”, allowing the growth of the activities of the domaine, but always in the idea of respecting the heritage as well as local practices.
