Great finesse and delicious aromas to discover in this amazing Saint-Emilion Grand Cru!
Located at the foot of the south / southwest Saint-Emilion hill, Château Daugay extends over a prestigious terroir. The name of Daugay dates back over 500 years. It derives from the presence of jays, in Patois dialect "Daougay", on the hillock and slopes to which it gives its name. We find a wine that exhibits beautiful purity. With its very balanced style, you will enjoy the full potential of its wonderful aromatic bouquet. The structure is impeccable, altogether very stylish. The palate of red and crisp black fruits brings remarkable freshness. This wine will go incredibly well with a fine piece of venison.

CHATEAU DAUGAY

Located at the foot of the South/South-West hillside of Saint-Emilion, Château Daugay plunges as far as the eye can see into this terroir with prestigious vines. Like a benevolent lookout protecting the village, the 5.5-hectare property is said to take its name from the jay bird. The name of Daugay goes back more than 500 years, it comes from the presence of the jay, known in patois "Daou gay" on the mounds and slopes thus bearing this name. Watcher of the forest, this bird with variegated plumage watches over his family with its easily recognizable song. Similar to his animal mascot, Daugay watches and observes the horizon, up to the neighboring village. Like the jay, he has a broad vocal range, with "notes" of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Like the jay, it also “sings” the wine by perpetuating centuries-old gestures passed down from generation to generation. And like its emblematic bird, it is now spreading its wings towards its future, imbued with modernity and innovation.
