Having spent a lot of time in South Africa, I know the cellar, and this second wine is not far from their best. It is still necessary to open at least a good half an hour before tasting.more reviews

One of my favourite wines. A kind of fruity while at the same time smooth taste. Goes well with meat and pasta. Definitely recommend it. Worth its price.

Great price quality ratio! This wine delivers a lot for little money! Dark ruby color, very good nose, aromas of herbs, plum, raspberry, red cherries, licorice, clove! Balanced acidity, full body, mellow tannins and loing spicy finish!!!

Deep ruby color, blackberry and blackcurrant notes in the nose, a little bit of spiciness too. Medium to full body tastes like black fruits, blackcurrant, and plum. A little bit spicy and earthy. For me, it's too acidic. Maybe needs a bit more time.

I love African wines and this wine did not disappoint me at all! (This was also the case for our guests) a good aroma that goes well with a meat dish or cheese platter.

KANONKOP

In Afrikaans, Kanonkop means the "cannon shot": the one that warned the population of the arrival at the port of a merchant ship. Created in 1910, the Kanonkop estate is inspired by this local history to produce some (if not the best) Pinotage from South Africa, as well as Cabernets which develop with age an exceptional finesse and complexity. The South African equivalent of a French Premier Cru!
