A Saint-Estèphe just as we like it! Seductive aromas, finesse and very tender!
Commissioned by an 18th century Carthusian Monk, this 35-hectare wine was created in the same period by Joseph Laffitte, the king's prosecutor in Bordeaux. It is a wine that offers great delicacy, especially thanks to a fruity and subtle bouquet. It is also delicately framed, but this does not detract from its softness; the palate leaves the taster a pleasant feeling of harmony on the finish. A very successful Saint-Estèphe!

Parker was not wrong. This Saint-Estèphe has incredible value for money. It's already supple and round enough to enjoy right now, but powerful enough to pair perfectly with my very tasty lamb chops.

Exceptional and renowned wine! The taste is more than guaranteed. A good matured prime rib accompanied by this wine, a treat! I highly recommend it.

What a wine! Tasted during a barbecue with a prime rib, my guests were delighted. Wine with a little character and long on the palate. I highly recommend! My only regret is having taken only one bottle...

Very enjoyable. Quite powerful initially on the nose, not followed through in taste which was light and subtle berries and perhaps a hint of tobacco. Developed more over time and best served nearer 18 degrees than 16.

A softer than expected right-bank Bordeaux. Very approachable already, though clearly age-worthy. The wood is still ever-so-slightly disjointed, but not to the point of distracting the drinker from juicy cherry, cassis and blueberry aromas.

Subtle red and blackfruits on the nose and noticeable cabernet sauvignon and distict softer merlot notes on the palate backed up by delicate tannins. Ok now, but won't last long. Great value though as it is St Estèphe

A superb St-Estèphe all in roundness and in balance! Price a little high but extremely pleasant to taste with an exceptional dinner. I recommend!

A powerful and delicate nose at the same time. On the palate, notes of red fruits, raspberries and blackberries prevail and harmoniously match with a light woody note over the length. It also has great ageing potential to open up even more... Excellent!

CHATEAU LAFFITTE CARCASSET

Château Laffitte Carcasset is ideally located on a gravelly plateau of Saint-Estèphe. It has been managed by Pierre Rousseau and his family since 2016. The château has 35 hectares of vines, of which Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the vineyard on the property. Château Laffitte Carcasset produces red wines faithful to the Saint-Estèphe style: complex and fruity with a beautiful tannic structure which gives them very good ageing potential.
