I love this wine, magnificent visual. A fairly light Anjou wine with a particular aroma of pepper on the nose which gives it an appreciable singularity. I liked it a lot, nice also to train well to recognize a Cabernet Franc.more reviews

A favourite of our customers and the Guide Hachette in previous vintages, discover our low-price, top-buy Loire wine!
The Château de la Mulonnière, owned by Saget La Perrière, is located in Beaulieu sur Layon, at the foot of a south-exposed hillside. This explains the intensity and expression of the ripe red fruit fragrances. An ample, rounded and robust palate finishing in silky tannins. This Loire wine should be tasted with a meat dish with sauce, or with cheeses...

An Anjou signed la Mulonnière, ideal for forming a young palate. The colour is indeed garnet and the palate is undoubtedly spiced up with very ripe black fruits. Ideal for tasting immediately and perhaps a pleasant surprise in two or three years. Needs some areration.

A Loire wine as we like them. A terroir wine with great typicity on the palate. To taste at 15-16° degrees. It reminds me of the very good Saint-Nicolas de Bourgueil. Very good with cold cuts or meat.

MULONNIERE (Château de la)

Owned by Maison Saget la Perrière, Château de la Mulonnière covers 40 hectares between the villages of Beaulieu and Rablay, in the heart of Layon. The Domaine has won its letters of nobility thanks to high quality Loire wines: Quarts-de-Chaume and Savennières. Like the landscapes that surround the Château de la Mulonnière, the terroirs of this estate are among the most beautiful in the appellation. The careful work of man on these slate shale soils has been recognized with numerous prizes, notably the Loire Wine Show and the Concours Général Agricole de Paris. Wines that stand out for their complexity and depth.
