LEAVE YOUR REVIEWCracked during lockdown and opened this up a little early. This wine has immense depth and concentration of fruit.
Loads of rich dark fruit + cedar, mint and rich sweet spice. The palate is ample, more dark fruit showing, before giving way to rich creamy notes of liquorice, vanilla and spice.
Since I have known this estate, I can't do without it. A superb balanced wine, presence of tannins, round and fruity. I decanted it two hours before and I don't regret it. My guests were charmed by this Madiran.
A powerful and fruity red, a perfect balance, an intense length in the mouth with notes of black fruits and spices. With a meat in sauce it is perfect.
Owned for generations by the family of the inimitable Alain Brumont, Château Bouscassé has given back to appellations lacking in visibility (Madiran, Pacherenc-du-vic-Bilh) a second life. Taking advantage of the unique typicity of the Château's terroirs, the flagship grape varieties of the South-West (notably Tannat) are magnified here. Between elegance and voluptuousness, the estate thus offers remarkably precise and charming cuvées. Definitely THE reference in the wines of its appellation!
