LEAVE YOUR REVIEWThis Gevrey Chambertin is excellent. It is first of all an explosion of aromas where black fruits are enhanced by notes of coffee and peppery spices. On the palate, it is powerful, structured and complex. Really an excellent quality to price ratio for the appellation!
I tasted this Gevrey Chambertin at the end of the year. For an entry on the road to great wines, it is exactly the kind of bottle that one acquires! I liked the aromas of spices and thyme on the nose! On the palate, it is a sensation of voluptuousness!
Son of a Chablisian winegrower, Stéphane Brocard, a lover of Burgundy wines, moved to Marsannay in 2007, creating the Closerie des Alisiers in the town of Chenôve. In addition to the vines he owns in Pommard and Daix, he works with the same winegrowers and the same plots from year to year to offer wines corresponding to his philosophy: purity, fruit, freshness and authenticity. Carefully choosing its production appellations, one counts among them Pouilly-Fuissé, Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Volnay or even Meursault. But also smaller cuvées with an impressive quality/price ratio! Concerned about the environment and respectful of the terroirs, its range of certified organic wines continues to grow, and you can judge for yourself, these are bottles of very good quality!
