RIESLING GRAND CRU SAERING 2016 - DIRLER-CADE

0,75 L White Wine / France / Alsace / Alsace Grand Cru AOC / 13,5 % vol / 100% Riesling

AB (organic wine) Biodyvin (organic wine label) EU organic farming
RVF favourite for this exceptionally refined Riesling Grand Cru!
According to Jean Dirler, the presence of deep clay formations and porous soil helps the Saering make beautiful wines in dry years such as 2016. The Riesling Grand Cru Saering unveils a nose of aromas and flavours of pome fruits, herbs complemented by mineral notes and white flowers. There is a beautiful mineral lattice on the palate as well as a refreshing touch of salt and an aromatic expression in nuances of green apple and nectarine. A very seductive, profound and elegant Riesling!

DOMAINE DIRLER CADE

Domaine Dirler-Cade is located in Alsace, in the small village of Bergholtz (around 1000 inhabitants), 3 km south-east of the small town of Guebwiller (11,500 inhabitants). Guebwiller is the gateway to the charming Florival valley which leads to the peaks of the Hautes Vosges. The domaine is located exactly halfway (25 km) between the cities of Colmar and Mulhouse. It was in 1871 that Jean Dirler founded Vins Dirler by settling in the village of Bergholtz. The winery thus founded has continued from generation to generation. Jean, Georges, Georges, Jean-Pierre and today Jean constitute the 5 successive generations of winegrowers.
