A discovery, a very nice surprise in Sauternes, which I have ignored for some time now, a blind purchase despite its price, but justified as the quality and aromas are there.more reviews

“A Sauternes with a remarkable synthesis between liveliness and richness” Hachette
This 5-hectare wine scattered over 20 plots changed hands in 2011 to be taken over by the Russian businessman Eli Ragimov. With its buttercup yellow colour, this Clos Dady has aromas of citrus, apricot and honey gently accented with a touch of oak. Fleshy and full, it nonetheless has a nice freshness that contributes to its harmony. A magnificently sweet Sauternes!

So much going on here, nose gives lemon curd, apricot, marmalade, fruit punch, honey and oil. Attack maintains the intense start with sweet tones of quince, dried apricot, grilled pineapple and spiced pear. The sumptuous experience is rounded off with the finish bringing in honeysuckle.

Had this the other night after two bottles of champagne, and it did not disappoint! Pure yellow fruit with butterscotch tinges and a gentle cleansing mineral finish. For the price its unbeatable. I paired with soft young cheeses and it really brought out the flavours well.

It has a magnificent golden colour. This wine goes perfectly with foie gras. Incredibly fresh. A very good value for money. This Sauternes is excellent.

Great quality at a reasonable price. The aroma is intense and the palate is very satisfying. It is easy to identify the typical aromas of botritis. a bit evolving perhaps because it is young, but drinking it now is already satisfying

Powerful subtle sweetness and excellent overall balance. Excellent with cheese and chutneys. Amazing colour.

A powerful and well-balanced wine to be left to age a little. The aromas are very present but you have to be patient and wait a little longer for their maturity.
