I loved it! Jan Z. 07/18/2020 Verified purchase

This is atypical Mondeuse; it is rustic, spicy and bold rather than light and fruity. Savoie is famous of white wines, but some reds are very interesting indeed as this Mondeuse from Chateau de la Violette shows well. Taste of bramble is distinct.more reviews

“A unanimous winner for this flagship red wine of Savoy” Hachette
Everything is intense in this Mondeuse vinified with the entire bunch, fermented for days and aged in wood. The deep colour with black highlights on the powerful, fleshy, spicy and persistent palate, through the nose of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry). Depth and elegance for a very pleasant tasting!
