Still very/too young and tannic, but quite approachable nevertheless. Very fruit-forward and typically peppery on the nose, true to the Syrah grape variety. I haven't had any experience with lthe "old" Cornas, but I guess this is what they call the "modern" approach to this classical style.more reviews

A Cornas from the three Courbis brothers - a great buy in its appellation, and getting greater! Robert Parker approves!!!
In a terroir created by their own hands, this pure Syrah will seduce with its breadth, aromatic richness and silky texture. Carafing is a must for short-term tasting. This Cornas crafted for keeping may be kept until 2025. Happiness in a bottle. In a word: EXQUISITE!!!

Enticing nose of baked plums. Silky texture like other Courbis wines. There is a good balance between fruit extraction and freshness, with a long lingering finish and aftertaste of summer fruit and spice

COURBIS

The passion for wine is something innate to the Courbis brothers. With a family rooted in the vineyard since 1587 and a father who strove to clear and replant the slopes of the right bank of the Rhône, it was natural that Laurent and Dominique took over the family business. Together, they offer a wide choice of Cornas and Saint-Joseph that are as distinctive as they are elegant.
