To be honest, I expected a wine, that had a little bit of more substance. The fruit is mature but there is an edginess that is not always pleasurable. I am not sure that aging will serve it well.more reviews

“A lot of complexity which undoubtedly shows the class and purity of the great wine that it is” Jeb Dunnuck
A great tasting awaits you with this Croix de Beaucaillou! Various succulent flavours will perfectly complement a rather full-bodied and very lively palate. We find, for example, red and black fruit aromas that mingle with firm grainy tannins and a long, mineral finish... Guaranteed success!

CHATEAU DUCRU-BEAUCAILLOU

Sited as its name suggests in 50 hectares on a wide slope of deep gravel, this vineyard occupies one of the most beautiful locations in the Médoc. With 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit-Verdot, Ducru-Beaucaillou produces a wine that's considered quintessentially Bordeaux, and more specifically of the Médoc. The owner, Bruno Borie, pays the utmost attention to quality and meticulously cares for the vines, as well as applying a stringent grape selection process. All of this leads to a wine that is supremely elegant and balanced, but never gaudy, and it can easily be stored for more than 10 years before it releases its true character.
