Albert Bichot offers numerous wines of a various quality. This Moulin-a-Vent from 2016 is one of the best Beaujolais I know. It is powerful, balanced and slightly spicy. Raspberry, thyme and cherry dominate. Happily I still have some bottles left in my cellar.more reviews

“Fresh and peppery with a touch wild (...) it is inviting and persistent!" Allen Meadows.
Take a journey full of flavours towards Rochegrès on the property of Mr. Albert Bichot: You will discover first of all a nice range of very ripe fruits that then become floral notes that evolve over spices and finally give way to undergrowth flavours... To begin with the palate is dominated by volume and roundness, on elegant and enveloping tannins. On the finish, we perceive a perfect blend of fleshiness and finesse that highlights the purity that comes from this land! Congratulations on this beautiful bottle, our experts were spellbound and we have no doubt that you will be too! Albert Bichot drives Beaujolais lovers crazy!

A very good wine, refined, subtle, fruity with just the right amount of acidity. We tasted it with friends with a raclette, the association is very good. It is thanks to this type of wine that I like Beaujolais. Especially since the price is very correct for a wine of this quality!

Incredible wine. It is almost unbelievable to buy this quality and complexity of wine at this price. I think it is even still young to drink, it could be kept for several years for a great feast and be even better.

MAISON ALBERT BICHOT

The "Maison Albert Bichot" was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot and it was his grandson, Albert, who gave it a new awakening at the end of the 19th century. Since 1996, the management of the Maison has been ensured by the sixth generation in the person of Albéric Bichot. The house has 100 hectares of vines which are exploited in a sustainable way, supplemented by purchases of grapes and musts. The estate has completely transformed its approach to growing vines, by pruning shorter, working the soil (plowing) and green harvesting when necessary, leaving only 6 bunches per vine. The house has an impressive range of Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. Those from the Côte de Nuits are vinified and aged at the Clos Frantin estate. Those of the Côte de Beaune are at the Domaine du Pavillon.
