LEAVE YOUR REVIEWI thought that the Duvernay Beaumes de Venise was good but this, a little more expensive wine, is what brought me to love this variety in the first place. Delicious.
I am a big Beaumes de Venise rouge fan - and this doesn't disappoint. The quality of the grapes is obvious - plenty of depth and structure. Drinking well now but more to come in another year or two
A spicy, juicy, silky soft with hints of sweetness wine. Aromas of prunes and herbs. The taste has flavours of black pepper, dark chocolate and black fruits perfectly balanced with mild acidity and round, soft tannins. Highly recommended.
Xavier Vignon is one of the most renowned oenologists in the Rhone wine region. He has worked as a consultant to more than 200 wineries in the Rhone Valley and has gained a worldwide reputation for his expertise and collaboration on the best wines of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. He started his own production in 2002, and the winery is now known for wines of exceptional quality and Xavier Vignon's own style of wine, both of which make him a successful winemaker. Elegant and well-balanced wines that beautifully reflect the terroir, because terroir and minerality are the philosophy of his work and not only in wine production, as he also runs an oenological institute, where he explores these aspects. His wines obtain the highest scores in the Robert Parker Guide.
