LEAVE YOUR REVIEWExcellent sweet Chenin Blanc. Raisins, honey and and dried fruits. Good balance between the acidity and the sweetnesses. This wine is simple pleasure.
Lovely dessert wine made with Chenin Blanc, which delivers its trademark, palate-cleansing acidity, as well as intense notes of honey, beeswax, and stone fruit. This could probably last for ages in the cellar, and the price is modest.
Owned by Maison Saget la Perrière, Château de la Mulonnière covers 40 hectares between the villages of Beaulieu and Rablay, in the heart of Layon. The Domaine has won its letters of nobility thanks to high quality Loire wines: Quarts-de-Chaume and Savennières. Like the landscapes that surround the Château de la Mulonnière, the terroirs of this estate are among the most beautiful in the appellation. The careful work of man on these slate shale soils has been recognized with numerous prizes, notably the Loire Wine Show and the Concours Général Agricole de Paris. Wines that stand out for their complexity and depth.
