MAGNUM - LES VARONNIERS 2015 - WOODEN CASE - MICHEL CHAPOUTIER

1,5 L Red Wine / France / Rhone wine / Crozes-Hermitage AOC / 13,5 % vol / 100% Syrah

AB (organic wine) Biodynamic Biodivin (organic wine label) Demeter (biodynamic label) EU organic farming
One of the greatest wines of the appellation.
Remarkable for its precision and length, this wine with its very deep pomegranate hue releases very ripe red fruit (blackcurrant, raspberry) and liquorice notes on the nose. Ample and firm thanks to its powerful tannins, it offers a candied and vanilla finish that harks back to its 14-18 months of maturation in oak barrels. Between its biodynamic cultivation and Chapoutier's talent, this authentic and pure Crozes-Hermitage perfectly embodies its terroir!

CHAPOUTIER - LES PARCELLAIRES

The wines from parcel selections from the house directed by Michel Chapoutier embody what the Rhône Valley produces best and deserve a special place. This biodynamic winemaking is produced in limited quantity from old vines. Ermitages (the old spelling), Crozes-Hermitages and Saint-Joseph are all mineral, straight and energetic wonders. It is also said that these Ermitages are the most impressive and passionnate wines of this appellation. And there is no doubt about that!
