A very nice tasting, I will order it again to offer it! Another very successful wine from Xavier Vignon with this Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Intense aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, forest fruits, spices, pepper, mint... Good length.more reviews

"Full-bodied, it manages to be ripe, silky and concentrated, while remaining crisp on the lengthy finish." Robert Parker
Xavier Vignon, elaborates the Cuvée Anonyme, a blend of different grape varieties which according to R. Parker is "the best wine in the portfolio" with a very nice balance between power and freshness. A Châteauneuf of character that will still have a lot to say in 10 years time!

Vintage 2016, this Châteauneuf is fantastic! Very powerful and well balanced. A treat with my old-fashioned coq au vin and strong cheeses.

A very good Châteauneuf with superb value for money, not often in this appellation. A nose well opened after an hour in carafe, a nice density, a bouquet of garrigue, very ripe black fruits, liquorice and black olives.

Balanced, deep and in a good place right now, though will only reach peak drinkability in a few years. Some unresolved tannins are still there, but the mouthfeel is generally plush and smooth. On the nose it offers up small black fruits, leather, cocoa, licorice and whiffs of garrigue. Really good.

Excellent! So much finesse, refined tannins and a very good balance between spiced and red fruit flavours. A superb discovery!

What a vintage. A captivating nose with blackberries, liquorice, blackcurrant and pepper. You find some of these flavours on the palate along with loads of red fruits on the attack followed by a long, fresh finish. It enhanced our duck magret with cep sauce.

It has great length! A Châteauneuf to drink now and that will age magnificently. Notes of spice and garrigue, black olives and mocha. A quite delicious wine!

Lovely CNdP. Big and bold and in your face but lovely mix of dark fruits; cherries, blackberries, blackcurrants and with some vanilla and even a little chocolate.

An affordable bottle of wine from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, showing lots of red berry flavour. Medium body, lean, slightly bitter taste with noticable alcohol. Not as promising as other great wines from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, although it retains freshness and lovely minerality. A decent wine for the price.

A Châteauneuf-du-Pape at this price? You can only thank Xavier Vignon who seems to have the golden touch. Once you taste it, you can only applaud, even if it is still young. It will be difficult to keep it in the cellar.

An outstanding wine - light and fruity that you can drink on just as well its own or with dinner.
Keeping it will let it become rounder.

Delicious example of this wine. Dark berries with a hint of sweetness on the nose and the palette. Deep purple colours and a rich, smooth consistency. Highly recommended.

Awesome. You can tell the difference with a cheaper wine, but this type of wine is full of fruit. I wasn't disappointed.

Medium+ intensity, complicated nose of blackberry, cassis, plum, black cherry, cedar, tobacco, leather, rosemary, graphite and earthy notes.
Medium(+) acidity, medium+ body with medium+ round tannins, high flavour intensity and long finish.
Great structure and really good balance and ageing potential.

So a bit disappointed with this as it was quite light bodied and smooth with balanced fruit and with a licorice/fennel herbal finish...it lacked body and ultimately was a complete disappointment for its price even on sale - have had better Cotes du Rhone or Vacqueyras

medium and average for a ChdP, but very good at its price, good bargain for a middle class wine. Too much alchool and i am not sure if needs more time in the bottle

A superb Châteauneuf with great potential! Ideal to be kept for another 4 or 5 years, perhaps even longer. Already very pleasant as long as it is left to breathe for a good while. A distinctive wine to pair with luxurious dishes.

This is an exquisite wine - the carefully thought out blend create a harmonious environment for the mouth. Notes of dark fruit pair perfectly with sweet scents of red fruit, vanilla and dried leather. This wine packs a powerful punch and presents itself with a long and firm finish. Magnificent

Pure disappointment... No comperation to one of 2015, that was a balanced rounded taste with leather tones. Unfortunately we couldn`t have finished the bottle. And decided no more buying reduced wine...

This Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Anonyme by Xavier Vignon has always been great over the years. Plum aromas and a smooth palate after an hour and a half in the decanter. The perfect partner to coq au vin.

Deep purple in color, balanced tannins, peppery blackberry, long aftertaste.
This was the third time, when Xavier Vignon’s Style of winmaking showed high scores and quality for my taste.
