A tenured, strong and sometimes violent history. A climate that man has made his own. Roussillon couldn't not seduce Michel Chapoutier. He chose to install his estate in the Latour de France. On the lands of the Domaine de Bila-Haut, 3 varieties of grape grow. Syrah, with wild garrigue and spices aromas. The surprising Grenache. And Carignan, for mineral wines with crisp tannins. "Les vignes de Bila-Haut" and the "Domaine de Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem" were the first expressions of this soil. But Michel Chapoutier wanted to feel the quintessence of this place. It took 6 years of observations and analysis to create this precious and rare wine. "v.i.t": visitare interiore terrae. A precious blend consisting of 70 year-old Grenache vines located on a magnificent parcel of land in the middle of the garrigue.
